Chelsea made it six wins in eight Premier League games on Sunday but Maurizio Sarri has identified a weakness in the display of the Blues.

The Blues have been unable to maintain a 100percent record in the League but they have not suffered a defeat either. Eden Hazard put the Blues ahead in their game against Southampton before Barkley and Morata also got on the scoresheet in the second half.

Although Maurizio Sarri revealed he was pleased with the show-off of his side, he also claimed they were unable to control the match the way he wanted, stating they need to improve defensively.

He said: ‘I think we can do better, they had two or three opportunities. We can do better, especially defensively.

‘We need to be in control of the match, we can do better in the defensive and sometimes offensive phase.

‘Today we did wrong in two or three counter attacks. I think we have the possibility to improve.’

Since the departure of Jose Mourinho, non of Chelsea coaches were able to transform their style. However, Sarri has imposed his style (Sarri-ball) on the team. Chelsea don’t just win games anymore, they are able to dominate teams and entertain their fans.

Sarri also revealed and affirmed that Man City and Liverpool are ahead of his team.

‘It’s the same that I thought one week ago,’ he added. ‘I think Manchester City and Liverpool are a step forward. ‘We need to recover the gap. Now we are trying to cover the gap and we are working on that. I think it will be very difficult to cover so large a gap in one season.’

Chelsea are just a profile striker short of being a world class team. Other than that, i don’t know why Sarri thinks the aforementioned team are a better side.
